The Most Anticipated Movies of Summer 2021

With the country opening back up as more and more of the population gets vaccinated, the movies that were held from release last summer are now gearing up for their theater releases this summer. That, coupled with the regular summer releases we see each year, means it’s going to be an action-packed lineup. Here are the most anticipated movies of the summer!

This movie takes us through the backstory of the devilish Cruella Deville with an almost unrecognizable Emma Stone as the lead.

  1. A Quiet Place II – May 28th

The first movie in this series took the country by storm. Now, it’s time to learn how the world originally fell apart as well as what the next steps are for what’s left of the Abbott family.

  1. The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard – June 16th

Selma Hayek takes matters into her own hands when her husband, Samuel L. Jackson, gets kidnapped in this hilarious, action-packed sequel. Oh, and she makes Ryan Renolds tag along for good measure.

  1. Respect – August 18th

Jennifer Hudson plays Aretha Franklin in this highly-anticipated musical written by Tracy Scott Wilson and directed by Liesl Tommy.
